因為非正規廠家生產的模型產品未經航空公司、飛機制作廠授權，而是通過偽造正規廠家產品，或許通過互聯網上搜集的一些飛機圖片生產而成，因而模型的仿真程度相對較差、比例失調。正規廠家則是依據航空公司、飛機制作廠所供給圖紙生產模型。
